Hey all, not sure if it's appropriate to post here. I'm new here and please go easy on me should there be any 'mistake' (i dont really get what you meant by 'sai sót' so i throw the word 'mistake' in but feel free to use whatever you like).

The research was conducted.
the word conducted is a verb or an adjective? My thinking is it is an adjective, since the verb that goes with the subject (the research) is was. It is because when we change the subject to the researches, was changes to were and conducted stays the same.
