i'm confusing about ADV, ADJ. i've 2 sentences:

both of that sentences also need ADV for blank space. so when will we use the infinitive form and suffix "ly" form
1. "Right" could be adv as well as adj

2. This sentence is used in passive form and "known" is a passive verb so before it should be adv, widely

is your friend a male or female

if he's a male, just buy Neptune and you will go to sleep swiftly

wide can work as an adv, but most of the time the meaning has something to do with distance e.g "open it wide", "the tables are so wide apart", which, in that sentence's context, proves to be irrelevant.

another common example might be the case with 'hard', where both 'hard' and 'hardly' can work just fine as adv, but their meanings have nothing in common.
