In my work, word "department" use for "Ban" in vietnamese, can replace it buy another word ???

I understand that "phòng ban" stay on the same level in the organisation hierarchy. "Ban" in "Ban Thanh tra" usually means "Commission of Inspection" in English.

Don't sweat the details. Literal translation is more natural than a figurative one .

I don't know the context wherein the question was asked but I haven't heard anyone saying "playing the piano" for a long time.

A quick Google search reveals that the matter is controversial but it seems the grammatical answer is "play the piano".

"Division" would do, or else, "office".
