In this case, "a farmer employing the new machinery" is just another way of saying " a farmer who employs the new machinery". That term helps the sentence less wordy.

Present perfect -> I think you knew how to use.

You can find it here, even there's comparison with past simple:
ego4u.com/en/cram-up/grammar/simpas-preper

Past perfect -> express an action occurring before another action in the past.
For example:
You said no bricks but I had thrown 2 of them at your face (before you said that).
He came to her house but she had gone to the airport 15 minutes ago.

*Note: it usually comes with a past simple statement

Present perfect is used when an action began in the past and continued to the present; or an action happened at an indefinite time.

Past perfect is used when an action began in the past and continued to the another point in the past.

Ex:
John did his homework yesterday.
John has just done his homework.
John said he had done his homework.

A phrase that represents ones complete and total disregard of another's negative comment towards the original person.

*Guy 1 is walking down the street and passes Guy 2*

Guy 2: Why are you so ugly?

Guy 1: Haters Gonna Hate. *Keeps on walking*

I sometimes think of it. I have had time with a foreigner girl, and I enjoyed it very much, both showed her Vietnamese's hospitality and improved my english as well.
I think you can contact AIESEC Home stay program for joining. AIESEC is the organize that seeks for people who can host a place for foreigner to stay temporary during their time joining an volunteer program in Vietnam.

You can find out more in this link
