once you're good at French then learning English would be easy as a piece of cake, but not the other way around because the way French people speak and pronounce words is way difficult to imitate

actually, French, Spanish, English,... share a lot of commons. If you master one, the others are not a big problem

i knew lots of students who learnt French first and they have lots of difficulties learning English

nah,no way,unless you live in a native-speaking country than you could master one language and practiced the other

I did learn French in 1st year,a lot of English words were from French's
umm your second sentence kinda clashed with the first one, i wasn't talking about students who study French, i was talking about French ppl...

For all I know , speaking french is much easier than speaking english , It's vey similar to vietnamese
But I find it quite hard to distinguish between masculin and femini ( male , female ) as each noun has a separated gender in order to give the correct kind of verb . besides that , listening is tough as well , because the voice of the french is quite ligh , I cant describe it clearly , but it's fun =))
and as mentioned above , If you're good at english you can study this language easy ^^
