I believe the correct tense is past simple: "My sister worked" because the action was completed at a specific time in the past ("from 2x-2y").

If you want to say "My sister has worked", it should be like:

"My sister has worked for abc for 3 years since 2x". (now she still works there)

There must be a link between the action in the past and the present time to use present perfect tense (consequences, recently ended, started in the past but still continues until now).

I think you should use: "What does it/this/that mean?" .

or "This mean nearly(or near?) with..."
