originally they use imperial system, but I'm not familiar with it so i use metric system and they still can understand. Canada is a multicultural country, so pretty much 40 metric: 60 imperial

Re: Learning English with vOzers :D

I just read a story about sex in the CV. The victim/applicant wrote once or twice a week in sex column. So why don't they print gender instead ? What are the Difference between sex and gender (in this case and in formal)?

Re: Learning English with vOzers :D

- "Sex" refers to the biological and physiological characteristics that define men and women. Sex is also a word for "the activity of sexual intercourse" - as we call it in short - having sex.

- "Gender" refers to the socially constructed roles, behaviours, activities, and attributes that a given society considers appropriate for men and women. Gender is not a word for "the activity of sexual intercourse", it is used to define the SEX of someone: male or female, not the activity of HAVING SEX.

- That's just the way English works and anyone who studies/speaks English understands the use of "Gender" and "Sex". Plus, it would be very dumb to say "they had gender twice a week =.=". That's stupid, right?

Depends on the situations, they can be used interchangeably, for example in an application form like you said, they can use either one of them. However, when it comes to *sex sex* , of course no one would use "gender" because it would just sound stupid ._. .
