Combining rock-solid Onkyo construction, muscular 6-channel power, and two ultra-precise 32-bit processors for surround decoding, the TX-SR601
delivers dynamic, enveloping 360º home theater excitement. Dolby® Digital EX and DTS-ES® decoding provide 6.1 sound from any 5.1 Dolby Digital
or DTS source. DTS Neo:6 modes let you convert older surround and stereo sources — including music — into convincing 6.1 audio.
And 85 full-bandwidth-rated watts x 6 channels of high-current Onkyo power keeps your multichannel sound dynamic and pure.
192kHz/24-bit DACs deliver incredible sound from all your digital sources. Dual-room/dual-source output lets you enjoy full surround sound in your
main room while a housemate listens to a different stereo source in a 2nd room. (Shelf system, receiver, or powered speakers required in 2nd room).
Or, step to stereo sound in your main room, and the 'SR601 can power your 2nd-room speakers!
The TX-SR601 offers plenty of inputs for all your digital and analog components, including component video switching for 2 sources, 4 digital inputs,
an optical digital output, and 5 A/V inputs with S-video. Composite-to-S-video conversion simplifies hookup to your TV. The on-screen display and
learning/multibrand remote keep you in total control of your entire A/V system.
