You should spend about 40 minutes on this task.

Full time university students spend most of the time studying. They should be doing other activities too.

To what extent do you agree or disagree.

You should use your own ideas, knowledge and experience and support your arguments with examples and relevant evidence.

Write at least 250 words.

Answer:
It is obviously true that people nowadays tend to pursuit higher education rather than working right after graduation. However, full-time students are said to spend most of their time studying without participating into other activities. Personally, I believe that spending time on both accomplishing school tasks and engaging actively in other fields should be given equal consideration.

To begin with, there have been various benefits of a complete qualification despite the fact that it requires a great deal of time and efforts. The first and foremost advantage is that having compulsory knowledge and skills simply equals to a bridge in achieving highly expected careers. In reality, job hunting is increasingly becoming more extreme than ever and there is a tendency for young people to seek for a higher-quality education overseas. Therefore, undergraduates has no choice but to work harder in studies so as to be able to contest in such competitive era. Another reason for focusing considerably on studying is that university courseworks are seriously challenging. Medication, for example, demands learners to cope with an excessive workload theoretically and practically over a period of at least 6 years.

Nonetheless, reasonable time allocation to extra curricular activities while studying evidently has a wide range of profits. Firstly, instead of prolonged sitting in a corner for an entire day, active students are instead performing physical exercise. Gradually, the workouts would enable them to increase not only brute strength but also brain fitness. Similarly, joining volunteering clubs might help juniors build up necessary relationships and develope interpersonal skills. In my experience, sucessful people are those who are equipped with comprehensive knowledge and have a talent in connecting colleagues and clients.

In conclusion, college students had better not neglect their study while keeping in their minds that gaining work experience and skills in practice during university time is also of significance.

Some people think that parents should teach children how to be a good member of society. Others, however, believe that school is the place to learn this.

Discuss both views and give your own opinion.

You should use your own ideas, knowledge and experience and support your arguments with examples and relevant evidence.

Write at least 250 words.

Answer:
The issue of whose direct responsibilities of educating children into model citizens has always been a controversial one. Some people advocate that it should be parents who take the first and foremost accountablity in such acitivity, however, others are of the opinion that it is the compulsory duty of educational institutions. In my view, parents should take charge of this fundamental concern while schools could contribute considerable help as well.

It is broadly accepted that families are the initial kindergarten that would enlighten its members about both moral and educational lessons with regard to standard social values. Parenting, as a result, has always been considered a complicated task since whoever takes this role would be marked as a reliable benchmark for innocent learners to depend entirely on. The expected goals are, partially, helping their offspring to become familiar with the surrounding environment and shaping impeccable manners. In other words, kids inadvertently tend to imitate the inherent virtues and their future behaviours later are partial reflections of early childhood education at.

Nevertheless, schools and teachers also have an immense influence on children development. Once taking part in a school society, a child starts his very first journey to a wider community with teachers who would act as devoted observers and instructors. Homes provide them with good manners within a minute group of relatives, however, this community comes with a great number of relationships in which associates freely and actively interact with each other. During the process, schooling significantly trains students with essential knowledge about moral standards as well as enhances their personal abilities. Parents, for this point, could not be able to take the similarly imperative step.

In conclusion, it is essential that parents together with schools had better share the responsibilities of educating young generations into model citizens. Provided that there exists a combination of both views, it would be the best advantage to develop them comprehensively.

The table below gives information about changes in modes of travel in England between 1985 and 2000.

Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant.

Write at least 150 words.

Answer:
The table shows data about changes in the average distance travelled by varied methods of transport in England over a 15-year period.

It is clear that the number of average miles of almost all modes increased significantly from 1985 to 2000. Overall, it is also true that car by far had been the most favorite vehicle used by British people over the given period.

Most of this rising trend could be accounted for by a massive 150% increase in the average miles travelled by car, from around 3,200 to above 4,800 miles in 2000. There was a threefold growth in the average miles travelled by taxi, from 13 to 42 miles, while the figure for local distance bus almost doubled. In the following 15 years, England witnessed the second biggest rise (135 miles) in the number of miles travelled by other means of transportation, to 585 miles.

By contrast, local bus saw a dramatic reduction, with its average miles falling back to 274. Similar decreasing trends were seen in cycling and walking, with the respective average miles falling to 41 and 237 miles between 1985 and 2000.
