Vietnam should avoid a war, along with keeping our sovereignty.

You didn't get me chaps! Why does the navy exist? To protect the coastline, sea and islands, right? Does "going and protecting the island" ring any bell to you, here in F17? And why does one have to "go protecting the island" here? Obviously for discussing sensitive or vulgar topic? Now look who has been talking about that certain thing!

Coming-soon Sorry, my throat's aching!

If it's not urgent, start with watching movies with English subtitles.
That can improve your listening, reading speed and vocab at the same time.

Re: Practicing English with vOzers :D

ok guys, there is a sentence like this:
Our car had to cross The mekong river at a place called Binh Minh, where a line of vehicles 1 kilometer long waited to squeeze on board one of 4 scandinavian-ferries.

Here are some things i dont understand.
1. mekong is a river, so there shouldnt be "the", right?
2. what kind of phrase is 1 kilometer long?
3. why cant we say he is 2m high, but say he is 2m tall instead?

1. Yes.

2. That clause could be rewritten as "where 1 km long line of vehicles were waiting to squeeze in one of the 4 Scandinavian ferries".

3. Because he's a human.
