Upgrade nhầm firmware DVD

Các bro cho hỏi chút:
Tui upgrade nhầm firmware con DVDRW :brick:. Lúc khởi động nó vẫn nhận nhưng vô win thì ko nhận ổ đĩa. Ko biết có cách nào khắc phục ko nhỉ :sos:?
Ổ của tui là ổ Imation DVD Burner, model: IMWDVRW16DLE.

thế lúc up thì up ở win hay ở dos? nhớ là up ổ quang thì thường up ở win, bây giờ win nó ko nhận được thì nhiều khả năng phải chia tay em nó rồi.

1- Tìm trên google cách nào để flash lại BIOS nếu có.
2- Nếu không có thì DVD còn bảo hành không ? => đem bảo hành.
3- Nếu không còn bảo hành thì mở ổ DVD đó ra, nhớ mở khéo tay kẻo đứt mấy cái dây cáp trong đó là tiêu, trên main của nó sẽ có 1 con Bios dạng gắn vào đế cắm như CPU, dùng nhíp cạy khéo ra rồi mang con BIOS + file firmware ra Nhật Tảo hay chỗ nào có chép ROM nhờ nó chép dùm cho. Còn không thì mang nguyên ổ ra cho nó làm.

Today, most of the CD-ROM and DVD-ROM readers, and all the writers can be flashed, it means that the internal software (firmware) could be changed (flashed) to support more media types or to correct bugs in the old firmware version. The flashing step is very critical, because if the power is interrupted or windows crashes, the drive becomes unusable. Recently, windows crashed (crash, error, freeze) during my DVD writer firmware update, and i have found a solution to repair it, so i give it freely for everyone.

! This tutorial only works with IDE drives based on Mediatek chipset ! For others chipsets, you can read the dedicated forum and specialy this topic. One day, a person sent me an email to inform me that with another software like mtkflash, this method works for another chipset type... You can test this...
Used Software:

* boot floppy image Caldera DR-DOS 7.3 (http://frederic.domens.free.fr/download/drdos_floppy.exe)
* mtkflash (http://frederic.domens.free.fr/html/mtkflash.html) - freeware

! For a DVD writer you should use the 1.69+ mtkflash version
Needed Hardware:

* a screwdriver to open the PC

HOW TO:

mtkflash software only works under 'real' DOS, for data security, in the next step, you have to unplug all your hard drives, so, you have to make a DOS bootable floppy. Here you can find a floppy image booting with Caldera DR-DOS 7.3. Follow the instructions:

1. put a blank floppy in your floppy drive and launch the floppy image under windows
2. copy mtkflash.exe downloaded here on the floppy
3. copy the .bin or .hex firmware file(s) of your damaged drive. This file can be found on the Internet. If this file is too big, see the note
4. shutdown your computer and remove the PC power cable
5. open the PC, and remove all IDE connectors from the hard drives (data security), it's not mandatory to remove the hard drives power cables
6. remove the damaged drive's IDE connector
7. plug the PC power cable
8. power on the PC with the floppy in the drive
9. the floppy starts and displays (...DR-DOS 7.3) then "A:>"
10. replug the damaged drive's IDE connector, there is no electrical risk, because the IDE bus is a low voltage bus. The motherboard and the IDE drives withstand this manipulation. The author can't be held responsible for damage in any way that could result from modifications mentioned here.
11. launch the mtkflash command with the good parameters. See below the parameter lists. If mtkflash crashes, you should try another version. I have notice that the 1.69 version woks in the most case.
12. reboot the PC, and the BIOS should detect the damaged drive again, otherwise, try others parameters and restart at step 4
13. shutdown the PC, re-plug the IDE drives, close the PC. That's all !

XXXXX: Start address of FLASH OPC Area(5-digit in HEX). Default: 7E000h
YYYY: Length of FLASH OPC Area(4-digit in HEX).Default: OPC to Bank End


example n°1: if your drive is primary slave and the firmware file is 045.bin:

A:> mtkflash 2 W /B 045.BIN

example n°2: if your drive is secondary slave and the firmware file is C105.hex:

A:> mtkflash 4 W /M C105.HEX

Conclusion:

Note: if your firmware file is too big, you should use another bootable media like CDROM, ZIP drive or USB key... or you can put mtkflash and the firmware in another floppy.

Mình có con LG ghẻ, đang ko chịu đọc đĩa, đằng nào nó cũng chết nên thử update 1 lần cho biết, cho mình cái link hướng dẫn với.

Có 2 cách update:
Cảnh báo: Dùng firmwave ko đúng sẽ làm cho ổ của bạn nhẹ thì ko nhận ra đĩa, nặng thì ko nhận ra ổ luôn (trường hợp của tui), Còn quá nặng thì ko biết thế nào nữa:haha:
Cái này phải thận trong nhé nhớ tìm firmwave đúng với mã hiệu ổ đĩa (Nếu dùng Nero thì bạn xem mã hiệu ổ đĩa trong Nero Info Tool).
A. Up firmwave dạng .exe - cái này tự chạy trong Win. Bạn cứ chạy thử sẽ thấy nó như cài 1 chương trình thui (thường là firwave tự nhận ổ đĩa quang của bạn).

B. Up firmwave dạng .Bin (or .Hex) - cái này bạn làm như bro khanhduy301 đã chỉ. Tui tạm tổng kết = tiếng mẹ đẻ cho dễ đọc :byebye: :
1. Bạn tạo 1 đĩa khởi động (Đĩa mềm huặc đĩa quang) Tui thì tui dùng USB (vì ko có ổ A:D, đĩa CD thì hơi phí). Bạn nhớ là phải cop cả file Mtkflash và file bạn muốn Up.
2. Bạn tắt máy tính, ngắt bỏ hết các kết nối ổ cứng và ổ quang.
- Chỉ để 1 ổ quang mà bạn định up firmwave nếu khởi động bằng đĩa mềm huặc USB
- Chỉ để 1 ổ quang làm ổ khởi động và ổ quang mà bạn định up firmwave.
(Theo tui thì bạn nên dùng USB - nếu máy của bạn cho KĐ bằng USB hặc dùng ổ mềm cho trường hợp còn lại)
3. Khời động lại máy, bạn vào BIOS xem ổ quang cần up firwave được nhận từ cổng nào:
1 = primary master
2 = primary slave
3 = secondary master
4 = secondary slave
4. Flash Firmwave:
Bạn khởi dộng lại máy và khi vào dos bạn dánh câu lệnh sau:
A:>mtkflash 1 W /B 045.BIN

Huặc A:>mtkflash 2 W /M C105.HEX
Trong đó:
Số 1 (or 2) là do bạn cắm ổ quang vào cổng nào (xem mục 3).
Chữ B (or M) là dạng file mà bạn flash (Bin or Hex).
Mã hiệu 045, C105 bạn thay = mã hiệu file mà bạn định flash.
