Aliens Vs. Predator 2010 Version 1.2.17 Multiplayer Crack
UPDATED: Now patches to the latest version 1.2.17.
Tested patching a completely new installation straight from vanilla to 1.2.17 with success
Hey there ladies and gentlemen, I bring some good news! I was trolling around looking for a patched cracked version since everyone seems to be on AvP vanilla, hell pre-vanilla, and was happy to finally find an answer. I found not only a patch, but one that works online utilizing the well known "Zero Gear Method". I have tested both multiplayer and singleplayer using the following method and have verified that everything is working and the patch changelog is in effect.
You WILL NOT suffer from the missing options in the vanilla crack, (Motion Blur, Reduce Mouse Lag) and will be able to enjoy a smoother singleplayer/multiplayer experience, as well as play online with other cracked users. I do not have a DX11 compliant card so I can not test those options for you, but I guarantee this is worth a shot. This is highly recommended to everyone who has the Razor or Reloaded releases!
<Thanks go to Gold333 for bringing the below to my attention>
Since you are moving the directory of your Aliens Vs. Predator installation to a new location a new save may be created.
To remedy this, backup your save folder from
AppData is a hidden directory so make sure you're showing them. (Tools > Folder Options > View > Show Hidden Files)
Alright! On to the meat of this post.
The listed website is my initial source for the information below and should receive full credit. I am simply spreading the word and clarifying the steps as well as providing mirrors.
For simplification and better understanding I will list the steps here in the order they should be done. The link above is now cited for reference.
~Applying the patch and Multiplayer Fix~
1. Download and install Steam
2. Cut or copy ALL FILES from your Aliens vs Predator directory into:
"C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\aliens vs predator" (Create the directory if it doesn't exist)
3. Download the Aliens vs Predator MP CRACK uploaded by best_matrix07 (Megaupload Link)
and extract it to your "C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps" directory, overwriting everything. (Password is cs.rin.ru)
4. Make a shortcut to AvP.exe from the aliens vs predator directory and place it wherever you choose.
5. Download SteamUp (http://cs.rin.ru/forum/download/file.php?id=9646)
6. Make sure Steam is closed, then proceed to extract the files from the rar to your Steam directory. "C:\Program Files\Steam"
7. Make a shortcut to the Launcher.exe that is now in your Steam directory and use it from now on to start SteamUp.
That's it, you're done! Now just have SteamUp running and double click the AvP shortcut you created. The game will boot and you'll be all set.
This method uses the Steam emulator, "SteamUp", which will have to be running each and every time you play. I recommend creating an alternate Steam account, although I myself have never been flagged or banned.
Running a Dedicated Server
1. With SteamUp running, go to the "C:\Program Files\steam\steamapps\common\alien vs predator" directory and run AvP_CLI.exe.
2. For information on hosting commands read the DedicatedServerCmdRef.pdf.
If you have any further questions on how to host, forward ports, or setup your default.cfg for dedicated servers, follow the below link or consult me on this thread.
Be aware that dedicated servers ARE BETA, and should be thought of as such. I myself could not host a dedicated server on two separate rigs, both running Windows 7 32-bit, AvP_CLI.exe would crash for me. I could however host on a third rig that was running Windows 7 64-bit.
You should test your luck and see how it goes for you. If it crashes, just deal with hosting player matches or join available dedicated servers.
This is an up to date patch with even dedicated server joining/hosting capabilities! This is a MUST HAVE for all cracked Aliens Vs. Predator players.
